OnTrack Advanced Code Workbook
The curriculum I use with my clients can now be used by any parent or reading instructor. If you are interested in doing so, here are the steps I recommend:
1. First, note that the subheading of my website is A Guide to Overcoming Your Child’s Reading Problems. Take a minute to familiarize yourself with the Guide’s format which is laid out on the sidebar.
2. Next, read the page of the Guide titled Phonics Curriculum Overview to help you decide whether you first need to teach your child the Basic Code. For this I highly recommend using the curriculum described in the book Reading Reflex.
3. If your child has already failed to learn to read well using one or more different phonics programs, be sure to read the section of the Guide titled The Vision Piece and determine whether your next step should be a visit to a developmental optometrist in your area.
4. Once your child knows the Basic Code and you are reasonably comfortable that vision is not an issue, order a copy of the OnTrack Reading Advanced Code Workbook from the print-on-demand website lulu.com.

The price of the workbook is $24.95 plus shipping. The most reasonable shipping option is the Media Mail Rate which is just a few dollars and usually takes only a few days longer than faster options. The workbook is printed after an order is placed, but printing only takes a few days. Books should arrive within two weeks, even at the Media Mail Rate. Please also take note that though they will replace damaged books, THERE ARE NO RETURNS, REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS ALLOWED ON PURCHASES FROM LULU.COM.
You will also need instructions for using the workbook. The instruction manual is available free here in the form of a PDF or can be ordered at lulu.com as an electronic download for $2.50 or as a printed coil-bound manual for $8.95.
A good way to assess what you are getting into before ordering the workbook is to download the workbook instructions and then view some sample pages of the workbook itself at the lulu.com site.
The next page describes some of the changes you should expect to see in your child’s reading abilities if you use the workbook as the instructions dictate.
